Buffalo
Bob
Head Wrangler
He got his name when he won the hat tossin' contest at the Broken Spur
'bout ten years ago. They've got this big ol' buffalo head named
Ed hangin' over the bar. An' everyone put five bucks into the pot and
whoever tossed their hat up onto Ed's head the most won the pot.
Well, fifteen guys stood in front of the bar an' tossed their hats up at
Ed. Not one of 'em stayed on Ed's curly head. Then it was ol' Bob's
turn. Now, Bob had been sittin' down at the end of the bar mindin'
his own business an' tryin' to balance shot classes on top of his nearly
empty scotch bottle. The guys figured he wouldn't even be able to see
Ed, let alone hit 'im with his hat -- so, they they offered to double
their bets. Bob, fully aware that a little good scotch is always
sure to sharpen his skills, took the bet. Closing one eye an'
takin' careful aim, he neatly placed his hat square onta Ed's head --
four times in a row -- and took $150 bucks home with him that night.
He's been known as "Buffalo Bob" ever since.

| When Bob's not
punchin' cows and tossin' his hat at Ed, he hangs out at the
bunk house 'n repairs the saddles 'n tack for the horses.
A couple a years ago, when the guys were groomin' the horses,
Bob kept picken up the long hair from their tails 'n manes an'
puttin' it in his pocket. We all thought he was plum nuts.
But, come to find he kin make key fobs an' hat bands 'an
stampede strings outta all that horse hair we used to let the
wind blow away! An' he finds a little spare time to make
some real nice things outta leather, too -- like belts 'an fancy
hand-tooled canteens 'an saddle bags 'an all kinds of things (I
got me a custom wallet with my initials on it . . . nuthin' in
it, but it looks real nice).
