JP I used to rope the cows an' drive
the ol' steam tractor, mend the fences and chase after all the
critters. I spent most of my time in the saddle 'til my favorite
horse, "Walker," threw me one day and I landed smack on my
keester. Haven't been quite the same ever since.
I’ve had to take it easy an' let the younger hands round up the cows
an' keep the place up. My
mind kept sayin’ “ride!” But
my bones jus’ say “ferget it!” I was gettin’ pretty tired of sittin’ ‘round,
so awhile back I went down to Mexico with Aldolfo an’ Manuel
to visit their families in Jalisco.
Well, that was the first of many trips explorin’ small towns in
Mexico. As I traveled the
back roads an’ tiny villages, I started pickin’ up things I liked
and sendin’ them back to the ranch. So, between my travels south
of the border an' our ranch hands and friends n’neighbors, we’ve
collected so much interestin’ one-of-a-kind stuff that we’ve either
gotta build a bigger barn or share some of it with you! So, before
you leave check out my Barn
Sale. The Missus says it's time for some of my
"treasures" to GO! |
