No bull. That's their real names. They say that's why they got hitched in the first place -- cause of their names. But we know better. They're made fer each other. Closer'n two peas in a pod, ya know?

Kit's a darned good horseman. Not many a horse what kin throw 'im an' he kin heel a cow better'n anyone. Kit also does the cookin' on the range durin' roundup. He kin make a jackrabbit stew with fried bread an' beans an' cowboy coffee that'll make every hand glad he signed on at Rancho Relaxo. Kit makes soup outta all sorts a stuff that grows in Kitty's garden out beyond the main house. Beans of all colors, herbs an' spices an' other flavorin'. . . I don't know what he puts in it, but it sure is good! An' Kit's thinkin' about sellin' some of his favorite soups like "Dakota Territory Pioneer Soup" or Texas Yahoo Soup" in our barn sale.

Now, Kitty kin ride like the wind an' helps out helps out when we're movin' cows from one watterin' hole to another. But when the cows are settled, she keeps track of all the horse 'n cattle sales and makes sense of all the numbers an' stuff like that.

Kitty also does the cookin' when we're all here on the ranch. An' boy kin she cook! Kinda makes La Vache Violette, the fancy French eatery over'n town, pale by comparison. Well, the chef's not French, anyhow. Kitty bakes these great big cookies which the ranch hands (an' all the neighbors, too) can't git enuff of. Any time there's a special occasion, around here -- ya know, like a birthday, or gittn' hitched (or unhitched), or breakin' an arm fallin' off a wild bronc -- Kitty whups up a batch of those big ol' cookies, packs 'em in a fancy box, ties a big bow on 'em an' delivers 'em on her horse, Muffin. I'll see if she'll let us include her cookies in our Barn sale, too!
